THE PERFECT PERFORMANCE
The workshop is meant to introduce and develop tools for creating any layer of a performance using only the body as a main unlimited and powerful resource. Without being a 'free impro', the participants will generate their own performative material in real time by using any element which is already present on the spot, with no preparations being made in advance. The notion of perfection is introduced only as a disturbing key element in order to feed the tensions: possibilities and choices to be done, failure and success, accidents and planned actions and so on. I would like to go deeper in my research related to what I call “the perfect performance” and to infiltrate this practice of working not only in conventional frames, but also beyond the walls of cultural institutions. It is all about performing the present and what are we able to build and structure in real time. Without any props and fireworks, each workshop is a one-off performance.
